A child in Pennsylvania will face charges after authorities say he severely burned his brother doing a social media prank. Lancaster County officials said the 12-year-old boiled water in the microwave then poured the water on his sleeping nine-year-old brother. The child was participating in what’s known as the “Hot Water Challenge,” where boiling water is dumped on someone who isn’t expecting it. The child is charged with aggravated assault and reckless endangerment. In the meantime authorities are warning parents to make themselves aware of their child’s online activity to make sure something like this doesn’t happen again.
