Long Time Hollidaysburg Mayor Resigns

Having served 16 years as the Mayor of Hollidaysburg, Joe Dodson resigned from his position during last night’s Borough Council meeting, effective September 1^st.  Chad Repko, who serves on the Planning Commission, was approved as interim mayor to serve out the remainder of Dodson’s term.  Repko won a three-way Republican race against Dodson and Jimmy Carson in May.  According to this morning’s Altoona Mirror, Dodson made the decision to retire after a recent medical emergency involving his wife.
