A Harrisburg man died from injuries he sustained in a multi-vehicle accident that occurred yesterday morning along I-99 at the Pinecroft exit, Antis Township. Blair County Coroner Ray Benton reported that 38-year-old Edward Tarrant ll, was pronounced dead at UPMC Altoona, around 11:30 yesterday morning. Five vehicles were involved, and a part of I-99 was closed for several hours. Police report that Tarrant was attempting to pass a pickup truck and collided into a Freightliner. Tarrant’s car reportedly went airborne, and landed in the southbound lane, where it struck two other vehicles. Authorities continue an investigation.
