Penn State University has suspended a fraternity for four years following an investigation into hazing. The fraternity is Phi Beta Sigma of the Lamda Lamda Chapter. In May, the fraternity dean, Jacob Francis, and the fraternity’s president, Jayson Archer were charged with simple assault and hazing in this case. The investigation reportedly revealed that some pledges were struck with a large paddle, and punched by fellow frat members. The university says the fraternity has lost all privileges associated with being a recognized organization, for the next four years, and will be on probation for two years after that.
