Pennsylvania State Treasurer Stacy Garrity is running to be the state’s next governor. Garrity, a Republican, made the announcement yesterday morning, and becomes the first Republican to announce their candidacy. Garrity is a retired ARMY Reserve Colonel and served in Operation Desert Storm, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Operation Enduring Freedom. Whomever wins the Republican nomination will likely square off against Democratic incumbent Governor Josh Shapiro in 2026.
