The former head wrestling coach at Bellwood-Antis was sentenced yesterday for failing to protect students from sexual assault by Ryan Blazier, who was a former junior high wrestler coach, now serving 43 years in prison for sexually assaulting two wrestlers. Yesterday, in Blair County Court, 59-year-old Timothy Andrekovich was sentenced to serve 3-23 months in prison after he had earlier been convicted of endangering the welfare of a child. Reportedly, Andrekovich was made aware of the sexual abuse investigation involving Blazier, but according to State Attorney General Dave Sunday, failed to carry out a “safety plan,” and allowed Blazier to have unsupervised access students. Andrekovch is to report to the Blair County Prison no later than noon on September 29th.
