A desperate search for nine-year-old Renesmay Eutsey ended tragically when her body was found in the Youghiogheny River. Hours later, the child’s adoptive mother, 31-year-old Kourtney Eutsey was taken into custody and charged with the child’s murder. The child, who had special needs, was reportedly missing from her Fayette County home on Wednesday afternoon. Early the next morning, state police found her body partially submerged along the riverbank near the town of Smithton in Westmoreland County. Cause of the child’s death has not been released, but reportedly the child appeared to have been abused, and malnourished, and had bruises and cigarette burns on her body. Eutsey was arraigned yesterday and is being held in the Fayette County Prison without bond.
