Matthew Hale, currently the deputy warden at the Bedford County Correctional Facility, was named the new prison warden for Blair County. The appointment was made during a meeting of the Blair County Prison Board yesterday, and follows a months-long search initiated after former Warden Abbie Tate’s resignation in June. Hale will assume his duties on October 6, succeeding Interim Warden Shaun Edmundson.
