Expect Overnight Lane Closures On Portions Of I-99 This Week

Having started last night, overnight single-lane restrictions will be in place for drivers on Interstate 99 in Blair County.  According to PennDOT, the closures will occur between the Frankstown Road and 17th Street exits from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly throughout the week. During this time, crews will perform concrete paving, milling, and pavement line painting.  Additional paving will also take place near the Pinecroft exit on both northbound and southbound lanes, as well as on the southbound lanes near the Tyrone exit.  This work is part of a larger $23 million improvement project on a 10-mile stretch of I-99.  As always, PennDOT is urging drivers to proceed with caution in work zones.
