A state lawmaker from Lebanon County — Representative Russ Diamond — plans to introduce a bill to make Charlie Kirk Day a state holiday in Pennsylvania.  A prominent conservative activist, Kirk died after being shot in the neck while speaking at an outdoor Turning Point event at Utah Valley University last Wednesday.  Diamond’s bill would name the first Monday of August each year after Kirk, whom the lawmaker calls a tireless advocate for free speech in the country.  He says honoring Kirk would align with Pennsylvania’s commitment to free speech in the nation’s history.
