A 42-year-old Duncansville woman is facing assault charges following a domestic dispute over the weekend in which she allegedly attacked a man with a large knife. Blair Township Police say that 42-year-old Ellen Sollars is accused of the assault, which began as an argument over money. According to investigators, the victim reported that Sollars became enraged after he denied her a financial request, punching him and then pursuing him with a 10-inch knife. Police report the victim’s child was present at the time of the alleged dispute. Sollars is facing charges that include a number of counts of felony aggravated assault, and child endangerment. She has been placed in the Blair County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail. Her preliminary hearing is set for September 23rd.
