After the tragic shooting that killed three York County police officers yesterday, Governor Josh Shapiro says “We need to do better as a society.” The governor spoke at WellSpan Hospital on what he says was a “devastating day for York County and for the entire Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.” Shapiro said more must be done to help people who think picking up a gun is the answer to resolving disputes. In a statement last night, Shapiro said “The prayers of 13 million Pennsylvanians are with the victims, their families, and the good people of York County on this devastating day, and all those who put on the uniform to keep our Commonwealth safe.”
