Homegrown Rocker Playlist/Recap 9/14/25 (Almost Honest)

Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the September 14 edition of “The Homegrown Rocker,” which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on Q94 Classic Rock (www.q94classicrock.com), and from 10 PM to midnight on 107.1 and 101.3 Jack FM (www.1071jack.fm)!

We welcomed hard-rocking guests via phone on this week’s program, as singer and guitarist Shayne Reed and drummer Quinten Spangler from Harrisburg area heavy rockers Almost Honest joined us! We found out the story of Almost Honest and discussed their musical evolution, live show, and their latest album, “The Hex Of Penns Woods” – plus heard songs from that album and some of their earlier works! Along the way, we introduced new songs from Wax Mekanix and Rattle Bones, plus updated “Local Music News,” and dug out a rocking area classic by Stept On from 2000 for this week’s “Local Music Flashback!” (For those who missed the program, a four-part podcast of this show is available for listening or download from Q94’s website, www.q94classicrock.com. Click on “The Professor’s Classroom,” and then scroll down to “Homegrown Rocker Podcast” and look for the four show segments marked with the date, 091425.)

We’ll have another visitor to the studio on our next program, as we reconnect with Johnstown area singer and songwriter Dan Stonerook! Dan recently issued his third EP, called “Almost Famous” – Dan will share his experiences as he recorded the EP in Nashville, and we’ll discuss his music, creative process and live show! We’ll air some songs from the EP, and Dan is bringing a guitar and harmonica to play a couple of songs live for us!  We’ll also update “Local Music News,” dig a “Local Music Flashback” song from the archive and more! Listen to the “Homegrown Rocker” this Sunday night (September 21) on Q94 Classic Rock – 94.3 FM and online at www.q94classicrock.com, and on 107.1 and 101.3 Jack FM, online at www.1071jack.fm!
