A complaint filed with the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission is accusing UPMC Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh, of discriminating against transgender patients by ending gender-affirming care. The Women’s Law Project and a Philadelphia law firm have filed the document on behalf of kids that were receiving treatments like hormone therapy and puberty blockers at the facility. Leaders with the hospital have ended gender-affirming care for patients under the age of 19, saying the Trump Administration has made it clear that clinicians could face criminal charges for providing it.
