A Cambria County mother, appeared in court for a status hearing yesterday, regarding the strangulation death of her 5-year-old son. Jennifer Bowser was arrested in February 2024 after telling investigators that “voices in her head” told her to kill her son. A not guilty plea was entered last year, and a mental health evaluation was conducted to determine her fitness for trial. The court records indicate her next pretrial hearing is scheduled for early November, at which time a trial date and jury selection will be set.
