An Altoona man was sentenced to 23 to 60 years in prison yesterday in Blair County Court, after pleading guilty to sexually abusing a juvenile for nearly a decade. Fifty-one year-old James Kennedy, admitted to several charges, including four felony counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a minor. Altoona police reportedly learned of the abuse in early 2023 when the then 18-year-old victim reported him for sexual assaults that began when he was around 8 or 9.
