Alleged CEO killer Luigi Mangione is “demanding” an in-person appearance in Blair County Court after federal prosecutors denied his request. The new motion, filed by his defense in Blair County, challenges the court’s recent decision to have Mangione attend his November 7th hearing remotely, via video call. Mangione’s lawyers contend that the Commonwealth has not made a genuine effort to facilitate his physical presence for proceedings related to his Pennsylvania charges for forgery and illegal weapons. The defense maintains that Mangione has a constitutional right to be present for all legal matters. Mangione was arrested at McDonald’s on Plank Road in Altoona on December 9th of last year, and waived extradition to New York, where he remains in federal prison for allegedly killing UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in New York, on December 4th.
