A 42-year-old Altoona woman, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and property damage after an incident early Wednesday morning on Broad Avenue. Police were called to an apartment building where they found Pamela Wright had allegedly used a hatchet and a baseball bat to destroy her male companion’s property during a domestic dispute. A witness reported hearing screaming, and seeing Wright throw a bat at the man, who was uninjured. Wright, who reportedly smelled of alcohol, admitted to using the hatchet. She is free on $100,000 unsecured bail, and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Oct. 8th.
