Two children are dead after a horse-drawn buggy was hit by a vehicle. State Police say a buggy carrying six people was struck by a car on State Route 225 in Northumberland County Sunday night. A seven-year-old girl, and nine-year-old boy were killed, while the other four people inside the buggy were seriously injured. The horse also died in the incident. The driver of the vehicle reportedly told troopers he fell asleep shortly before the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
