Clearfield Co. Man Accused Of Attacking Another With Machete

Authorities in Clearfield County have apprehended an attempted murder suspect following an extensive manhunt.  Thirty-six-year-old Daniel Weaver of Grampian, is accused of assaulting another man with a machete at a residence in Lawrence Township on Sunday.  According to an affidavit, witnesses reported hearing a threat, “I’m going to kill you!”, before finding the victim with a neck wound from a bladed weapon, which witnesses described as a machete.  Reportedly, Weaver allegedly fled the scene but was apprehended yesterday morning.  The victim is reported to have been flown to a Pittsburgh hospital with a severe laceration to the right side of his neck.  Weaver has been charged with  attempted murder, and other related counts.  He has been placed in the Clearfield County Prison.  Bail has been denied.
