A Blair County judge has canceled the November 7 pre-trial hearing for Luigi Mangione because he insisted on appearing in person rather than remotely, as previously offered. Mangione’s defense maintains his constitutional right, to be physically present for critical proceedings. Mangione, who was arrested in Altoona in December, and later extradited to New York for a murder trial, is facing charges here in Blair County that include forgery, tampering with records, and firearm offenses.
