The body of a 75-year-old Altoona man was found today in Indiana County after the ultralight airplane he was flying crashed in a cornfield. According to state police, the body of David Wittmer was found this morning after he took off in the plane last night, but never came back. He reportedly took off from a field in Young Township in Indiana County. The incident is being investigated as an accidental death.
