Blair County commissioners have revised the funding allocation for tourism and other programs following the decertification of the former tourism agency, Explore Altoona. The new agreement with the county’s new tourism promotion agency, Discover Blair County, changes the revenue split from 56% for the agency and 44% for the county, to an even 50/50 division. Reportedly, this new setup gives commissioners more control over the money, and how best to use it.
