The York County Sheriff’s Deputy injured in last month’s ambush shooting made his first appearance in public this past weekend. Lieutenant David Godfrey was greeted with a round of applause when he entered the department’s K-9 Unit fundraiser. Godfrey spent two weeks in the hospital after the September 17th shooting that left three other officers dead. He is continuing his recovery at a rehab facility.
