Over two dozen Pennsylvania counties are being placed under a drought watch. The Department of Environmental Protection has declared a drought watch in 25 counties, most of which are in the western part of the Commonwealth. The DEP is asking residents in those counties to voluntarily cut back water usage by five-to-ten percent. Closer to home those counties included in the watch are Cambria, Somerset, Clearfield, and Clinton. The department always encourages residents to voluntarily conserve nonessential water use.
