Pittsburgh Puts Up Its Christmas Tree

Holiday preparations are underway at downtown Pittsburgh’s PPG Place, where the Christmas tree was recently set up at the ice rink, well in advance of the December 25th holiday.  One kid said he wished the city would’ve at least waited until after Halloween.  For what it’s worth, apparently it’s a timing thing.  The tree needs to go in before the ice rink, (which doesn’t open until November 14^th) because the ice rink takes a month to create.
