In federal court yesterday, former DuBois city manager Herm Suplizio and ex-city staffer Roberta Shaffer were denied a request for a “bill of particulars,” which would have forced the Department of Justice to provide more specific evidence against them. The denial, issued by Judge Stephanie Haines, comes as Suplizio and Shaffer face charges of misappropriating over $1.5 million in city funds. According to discussions that occurred last month, a spring 2026 trial date in this case, is likely.
