Two Killed By Bus In Indiana Co., Identified

Two pedestrians, hit by a bus in Indiana County on Monday have been identified.  Sixty-eight year-old Ronald Mabon and 39-year-old Christina Perez, were killed after being struck by an Indigo bus in Indiana Borough.   According to a report from county coroner Jerry Overman, the incident occurred shortly before 2 p.m. at a crosswalk on Philadelphia Street.  The bus was reportedly turning onto Philadelphia Street from South 7th Street when it struck the two victims.  Perez, a resident of Ernest Borough, was pronounced dead at the scene.  Mabon, from South Mahoning Township, was transported to Indiana Regional Medical Center, where he died from his injuries approximately 40 minutes after the crash.  Both victims suffered multiple blunt force trauma injuries.  Pennsylvania State Police, and the Indiana County District Attorney’s office are investigating the incident.
