Clearfield Regional Police are investigating a reported stabbing that occurred during an attempted break-in Wednesday night. According to police, a 39-year-old man, whose name has not been released, was allegedly trying to force his way into a residence on the 600 block of Daisy Street. The suspect reportedly threatened one of the residents, which led to a physical altercation with a homeowner. The 39-year-old was stabbed with a pocketknife during the incident and subsequently left the scene. He was later transported to a trauma center for internal injuries. An investigation is continuing.
