A man is in custody after a woman was found dead in Centre County this past weekend. Seventy-four-year-old Alan Reed is charged with criminal homicide in the strangulation death of 57-year-old Dawn Reed of Philipsburg. Reed’s body was discovered during a welfare check Saturday morning. Alan Reed has been placed in the Centre County Prison where bail has been denied. His preliminary hearing is slated for November 5th. The investigation is ongoing.
