Multiple fire crews responded to a house fire on the 400 block of Birch Street in Cooper Township, Clearfield County, on Saturday morning, after a call came in around 4 a.m. Firefighters observed flames from both the front and rear of the home, and while a search confirmed no one was trapped inside, a man and a child sustained injuries that were not considered life-threatening. Sadly, two family pets passed away due to smoke inhalation. The house suffered significant damage, and the fire’s cause is under investigation.
