A woman who is accused of hiding four deceased newborn babies inside her Armstrong County home is now ordered to stand trial on criminal homicide and other charges. Jessica Mauthe appeared for a preliminary hearing yesterday. State police say Mauthe told investigators she gave birth to all of the babies inside the residence over the course of six years. She admitted to killing some of them and claimed others did not make any sound when then were born, according to authorities. An attorney representing Mauthe told the court she may have been in a compromised mental state during child birth and her testimony may not be accurate.
