Rev. King Elected New Mayor Of Johnstown

Democrat Rev. Sylvia King has been elected as Johnstown’s first new mayor in over a decade, securing a narrow victory against Republican John DeBartola by fewer than 300 votes.  King is a longtime member of Johnstown City Council, and the current Deputy Mayor.  As mayor, King states her goal is to continue to be a public servant for the area and to “bring stability” to Johnstown.
