Unionized Starbucks baristas are planning what they hope will be the “biggest strike ever” next week. The planned strike on November 13th, coincides with the company’s popular Red Cup Day. The union representing around 550 stores, accuse Starbucks of refusing to fairly negotiate and have rejected the company’s previous proposal. Starbucks claims it already offers competitive pay and benefits and is ready to negotiate if the union returns to the table. The strike could expand if no progress is made, with union members pledging to continue escalating actions if needed.
