Travis Dunn, the patient care technician injured in an attack in the Emergency Department, at UPMC Altoona on Saturday has been discharged from UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh, and is recovering at home.  Reportedly, Dunn will receive full pay and benefits while he’s on the mend.  In the aftermath of the attack, labor organizations, representing the victim, and the hospital’s registered nurses, have accused UPMC of neglecting worker safety protocols, citing alleged short-staffing as a primary failure.  The alleged assailant in Saturday’s attack, was 40 year-old Bradley Lloyd of Tyrone.  He is currently held in Blair County Prison without bail, on charges including aggravated and simple assault.  A GoFundMe page has been set up to help support Dunn and his family.
