Investigation Underway After Explosion Heard At Liberal Arts Building At PSU

An incident at Penn State’s Susan Welch Liberal Arts Building yesterday, involving a loud sound, prompted an evacuation due to observed structural damage, including a wall crack, and a two-inch floor settlement.  While the cause is under investigation, no injuries were reported, and university officials stated there was no ongoing threat.  The six-story building opened in January of this year.
