An inmate at the State Correctional Institution Huntingdon is facing new felony charges after allegedly attempting to sexually assault a female corrections officer. According to state police investigators, 22-year-old Ja’Shawn Eaddy reportedly tried to lure the officer into his cell by claiming his toilet was not working. The incident was reported on October 15th as the guard was making her rounds on the cellblock. According to a police affidavit, after the guard made multiple attempts to get Eaddy to close his cell door, he allegedly grabbed her radio, and began to drag her into his cell, in an attempt to disarm and sexually assault her. Eaddy has been charged with numerous felonies including attempted rape by forcible compulsion, and other related counts. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for November 19th.
