Johnstown police have released further information regarding a shooting in the city’s Moxham section late Sunday night, that resulted in one person being hospitalized. Authorities report that 39-year-old Derrick Davis allegedly shot his brother, who was inside the bathroom of a home along Cypress Ave., multiple times. The victim sustained a single gunshot wound to his upper arm. According to a criminal affidavit, the victim told investigators he was in the bathroom when he heard a “popping” noise and attempted to take cover. Davis is facing charges that include felony aggravated assault, and discharging a firearm into an occupied structure, among others. He has been placed in the Cambria County Prison in lieu of bail. The victim was reportedly taken to Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center for treatment.
