The Pennsylvania Game Commission is reminding everyone that wearing daylight florescent orange is mandatory on state game lands through December 15th. This regulation applies to anybody, whether they are hunting or walking. Two-hundred-fifty square inches of orange must be worn combined on the head, chest, and back. This requirement can be met by wearing a hat, vest, or jacket. Other requirements include dogs having orange displayed on their leash, collar or a bandana. Horseback riders need to wear orange, but the horses are exempt. Orange covering on backpacks is also recommended. Failure to comply with the regulation can result in fines ranging from 100 to 200 dollars.
