Death Penalty Sought In Death Of Nine Year Old Fayette Co. Girl

trash-3

Prosecutors say they plan to seek the death penalty for two women charged in the death of a young Fayette County girl.  Nine-year-old Renesmay Eutsey was reported missing from her Dunbar Borough home in early September.  She was later found dead about 20 miles away from her home in the Youghiogheny River in Westmoreland County.  Thirty-one-year old Kourtney Eutsey, and thirty-five-year-old Sarah Shipley — the girl’s legal guardians — are each charged with homicide.  Prosecutors filed notice of their intent on Friday saying that the little girl had been tortured.  The two women are also accused of abusing other foster children, including a six-year-old boy who was admitted to UPMC’s Children’s Hospital for significant malnutrition.
