More than half a million hunters across Pennsylvania are preparing for the statewide firearms deer season, which runs from November 29 to December 13. The season includes two Sundays, November 30 and December 7, although hunting is not permitted in state parks on December 7. The Pennsylvania Game Commission stated that last year hunters harvested nearly 477,000 deer, with the firearms season accounting for the largest portion. Hunters are allowed one antlered deer per license year, and additional antlerless deer based on specific licenses and permits.
