Registration for next year’s dog licenses will be opening soon. Pennsylvania law requires all dogs three months or older to be licensed, with licenses available online, and through county treasurers starting December 1st. An annual license is $10.80, and a lifetime license is $52.80 for dogs that are microchipped. Failure to license a dog can result in fines up to $500 per unlicensed dog, plus court costs.
