Jesse McGahan, a 44-year-old resident of Hesston in Huntingdon County, is in custody today after allegedly threatening to “shoot up” a local elementary school during an escalated dispute with Child and Youth Services workers. According to an affidavit, two CYS workers visited McGahan’s home on Monday morning for an evaluation related to an unrelated incident. Investigators report that upon the workers’ arrival, McGahan confronted them and became agitated. The situation escalated when McGahan allegedly made multiple threatening statements. State police troopers subsequently arrested him on charges related to the threats. He has been placed in the Huntingdon County Prison where bail has been denied. He faces a preliminary hearing on December 3rd.
