Multiple fire departments were dispatched to Tyrone yesterday afternoon after an SUV collided with a building located near the Tyrone Daily Herald Newspaper, which is located along Pennsylvnia Avenue. The Bald Eagle Volunteer Fire Company reported that they were called to the scene at approximately 1:40 p.m. to support the Tyrone Fire Department. Upon their arrival, emergency medical services had already transported all individuals involved in the crash by ambulance to UPMC Altoona. However, according to the Bald Eagle Volunteer Fire Company Facebook page, an individual involved in the accident suffered a medical emergency prior to the crash, and is now experiencing severe complications including bleeding on the brain. The individual was later taken to UPMC Pittsburgh. No other information is known at this time.
