Luigi Mangione was back in a New York courtroom yesterday as hearings continue over what evidence can be used in his murder trial. One prison guard testified that Mangione was kept on “constant watch” after his arrest in Pennsylvania to avoid an “Epstein-style situation.” Another guard said Mangione later admitted he had a 3D-printed gun in his backpack. Defense lawyers want that statement and other evidence thrown out, arguing he was searched illegally and wasn’t advised of his rights, after he was apprehended at McDonalds on Plank Road in Altoona last December. Mangione has pleaded not guilty to killing UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson almost a year ago in New York, and faces both state and federal charges.
