A Mount Union man was jailed after allegedly stabbing a family’s pit bull in the neck on Thanksgiving in Shirley Township, Huntingdon County. According to Pennsylvania State Police, 21-year-old Antawn Hamman is accused of harming the dog during a family holiday gathering, with witnesses reporting that Hamman should not have been left alone due to mental health issues, and experiencing hallucinations. Hamman faces one felony count of aggravated cruelty to animals, and is incarcerated at the Huntingdon County Prison where bail has been set at $50,000. It is not known at this time if the dog survived the injuries.
