PA Gov., Calls Harris Book Utter BS

In a recent high-profile interview with The Atlantic Magazine, Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro denied and criticized claims made about him by former Vice President Kamala Harris in her memoir, 107 Days.  The book details her 2024 running mate selection process, in which she considered Shapiro as a finalist.  According to excerpts from Harris’s book, she portrayed Shapiro as overly ambitious, asking too many questions, and being too demanding, during their vetting interview, which ultimately gave her pause.  Harris wrote that Shapiro inquired about displaying Pennsylvania artists’ work in the vice-presidential residence, and insisted on being in the room for every decision, prompting her to remind him that “a vice president is not a co-president.”  Shapiro called her accounts “complete and utter bull____.” and further labeled them “blatant lies.”  Shapiro did acknowledge asking “a bunch of questions,” defending his actions by asking rhetorically, “Wouldn’t you ask questions if someone was talking to you about forming a partnership and working together?”  Harris has made no comment in regards to what Shapiro said in the interview.
