One person was hospitalized following an early morning fire at a duplex in Altoona on Saturday morning. Firefighters responded to the blaze at 1025 and 1027 Second Ave around 2 a.m., finding electrical wires falling into the backyard. The property was deemed a total loss, while a neighboring duplex sustained minor exterior damage. All other residents and pets from both properties escaped unharmed. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
