Luigi Mangione’s pretrial hearing in New York was postponed on Friday until today, after he reportedly became ill. The defense is seeking to exclude evidence from the upcoming murder trial, claiming Mangione’s rights were violated during his arrest in Altoona. Last week’s hearings centered on the Altoona Police Department, whose officers arrested Mangione last December at McDonalds on Plank Road, following a five day man-hunt. Mangione is accused of gunning down UnitedHealth care CEO Brian Thompson in Midtown Manhattan on December 4th of last year. The Altoona Police Officer who searched Mangione’s back pack on the day he was arrested, is expected to take the stand today. It comes on the heels of more evidence being released publicly over the weekend, including a to-do list, and photos of the USB drive Mangione was wearing around his neck.
