Bedford Man Jailed Pleasuring Himself In Front Of Young Girls

A 63-year-old Bedford man, Raymond Scott Smith, has been jailed after allegedly exposing and “pleasuring himself” in front of three young girls at a Goodwill store in Snake Spring Township, Bedford County.  According to the police affidavit, the incident occurred on the afternoon of December 4th.  The victims’ mother reportedly admitted she left the girls unattended in the toy aisle while she shopped elsewhere in the store.  Smith allegedly approached the children and engaged them in conversation before allegedly exposing himself at the end of the aisle.  When questioned by investigators, Smith is reported to have admitted to the act, stating that “seeing the girls brought back urges.”  Smith faces multiple charges, including felony counts of corruption of minors, and misdemeanors for indecent exposure and open lewdness.  He is currently held at the Bedford County Jail with bail set at $45,000.  His preliminary hearing is slated for December 10^th.
